Dynamics of attitude to Holodomor: November 2014

The target audience of the research: the population of Ukraine aged from 18 and older.The sample is representative by age, gender, region and type of settlement. Optional quantity: 2400 respondents. Personal formalized interview (face to face). Margin of error is less than 2.1%. The period of completion: 1-9 of November 2014

According to the survey conducted by Sociological group "Rating" In November 2014, the majority of surveyed Ukrainians (72%) agree with the statement that the Holodomor of 1932-33 was a genocide of the Ukrainian people, while 15% of respondents not agreed with this statement. Undecided on this issue 14% of respondents.

It should be noted that over the past five years recorded the highest percentage of respondents who consider the Holodomor as genocide. In particular, according to the results of research Sociological Group "Rating" in 2010, this percentage was 61%, in 2011 -  58%, in 2012 -  59%, in 2013 - 66%, in 2014 - 72%. 

Thus, number of opponents of considering the Holodomor as genocide for period 2010-2013 had reduced from 25 to 15%.
